Whether you’re seeking an action packed spot for a birthday, a private room for a corporate event or a relaxed, intimate area to celebrate the life of a loved one, we offer versatile spaces and packages to cater for your function.

We are conveniently located at the Whitfords City Shopping Centre in Hillarys. We have ample parking and ease of access for large groups.

Call us to book your next birthday, cocktail party, engagement, wedding, wake, seminar or corporate event.

PRIVATE FUNCTION ROOMS

  • The Big Room Capacity 100 cocktail
  • The Man Cave Capacity 70 – 80 cocktail

Both rooms 130 seated or 150 cocktail.

These spaces are ideal for sit down or cocktail events.  Room hire fees may apply. A nonrefundable deposit is required to confirm your booking, and is converted to part payment for your food and beverages.

A private bar and dedicated staff are available on request for additional cost.

  • The Beer Garden Exclusively   Capacity 95 – 120

This space is ideal for a function that suits a relaxed, tropical garden setting while being intimate and cosy in winter. No room hire fee is required however we request a deposit to confirm your booking 14 days prior to your event. We ask for a minimum spend depending on requirements and time needed.

  • Alternative space options are available for smaller groups of 20 – 30 people.

We regret that we cannot cater for birthday functions under the age of 21.

Please note that bookings are not confirmed until receipt of the deposit.

DRINKS PACKAGES

Individual accounts can be organised. A credit card is required to be kept at the bar until settlement by the account holder.

Provide your guests with beverages of your choice for part or the duration of your function.

  • Beverage Packages (minimum 40 people)

 Standard Beverage Package

House SBS, shiraz, bubbles, Australian tap beer, draught cider, soft drinks, juice and water.

2 hours $39 per person

3 hours $55 per person

 Premium Beverage Package

House SBS, shiraz, bubbles, Australian tap beer, draught cider, soft drinks, juice and water.

Basic spirits including house vodka, bourbon, gin, rum, scotch.

2 hours $55 per person

3 hours $69 per person

 Alternate beverage packages are available on request.

RSA conditions apply at all times.

CATERING

Our chefs offer delicious catering options to suit all dietary requirements. We require one weeks notice on all catering requirements.

Guests are free to bring their own cake for their celebration.

ENTERTAINMENT

The Northshore offers an outstanding level of live entertainment for you and your guests to enjoy. You can visit www.thenorthshoretavern.com.au/events for details on upcoming acts. The Northshore uses Nightlife Music system, which houses the largest library of music anywhere in the world. Upon request the in-house PA system can be utilised to provide your choice of music via an iPod, USB, DJ or small acoustic band.

DECORATIONS

We offer the set up and purchase of decorations and helium balloons, these can be added to your bill. Or you are welcome to arrange your own decorations. Please note: nothing is to be nailed, screwed, stapled or adhered to any wall, door or other surface of the building.

PRESENTATION FACILITIES

We can accommodate slideshows and audio facilities (sound subject to arrangement with the venue), throughout the venue. We hire out microphones and additional presentation equipment such as lecterns. Audiovisual equipment is available however some equipment comes at an additional cost. Please speak to our functions team about your AV requirements.

STAFF

Your event will be hosted by one of our function coordinators. They will ensure your function runs seamlessly.

SECURITY
It is suggested that additional security is provided for larger cocktail parties and around busy periods like Christmas. The venue can arrange this at an additional cost. Any events over 150 will require additional security.

MINORS ATTENDING
The Northshore is a licensed premises and the following conditions apply to any minor wishing to attend functions here at the venue:
– All minors must be accompanied by a parent at all times
– Minors may be required have identification to match the parent/s photo ID
– All minors must vacate the premises by no later than 10pm
– Minors may be asked to wear an ID wristband provided by us for the duration they are in attendance.

CANCELLATION OF A CONFIRMED BOOKING
Written notice is required to cancel a confirmed booking. This will result in forfeiture of the deposit. Between 3 months – 2 weeks prior to the function date incurs 50% of the anticipated food/beverage account and venue hire. 0 -14 days notice incurs 100% of the total anticipated food/beverage account.

CANCELLATION OF A TENTATIVE BOOKING
Written notice is required.

CLEANING FEE
A cleaning fee will apply if guests create the need for extra cleaning, this is decided upon by venue management.

CHANGE OF DATES
A change of date within the non refundable period is deemed as a cancellation. Please discuss with your Function Coordinator.

CONFIRMATION & PAYMENTS
Bookings are only confirmed upon payment of deposits. Payment of the deposit is your acceptance of the Northshore Tavern terms and conditions. The venue will be under no obligation to proceed with the event if the deposit has not been received. Pre-payment in full is required 7 days prior to your function.

LABOUR CHARGES
Functions booked on Public holidays will incur a 10% surcharge on all food and beverages unless otherwise agreed in writing.

DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
The client is responsible for the conduct of the client’s guests and indemnifies The Northshore for all costs, expenses, damage and loss caused by any act made by the client or the client’s guests.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

With regard to responsible service of alcohol and wastage, it is advised that guests may only order 1 drink for themselves at a time. All spirits must be ordered with a mixer. When choosing a beverage option please note that all guests must be on the same package. Prepayment of all beverage packages is required.  All specific dietary requirements are required 7 days prior to your function.
