The Northshore Tavern has a dedicated team of talented individuals committed to offering you the best value party venue and function room hire in the northern suburbs.

We cater for birthdays, cocktail parties, engagements, bucks and hens, wakes, seminars, and corporate events. The Northshore Tavern is conveniently located at the Whitford City Shopping Centre in Hillarys. We have ample parking and ease of access for large groups. We specialise in catering for wakes and celebrations of life.

Room Capacities and Layouts


Man Cave (Private Room)

Max capacity is 100pax
$250 room hire fee
The room contains 2 pool tables ($2 a game)
Contains 3 TVs which can be hired for use with a slideshow/movie
Direct door access to smoking area
Can be combined with Function Room to increase size and capacity
Can be used for bachelor and bachelorette parties, but comes with an additional curtain hire fee.

One of our private back rooms, perfect for a great guys (or gals) night out! Equipped with two pool tables and 3 tv’s to play any sport you wish and direct access to our outdoor smoking area, this room is a great option for casual parties and rowdy nights with the boys.


Function Room (Private Room)

Max capacity is 100pax
$250 room hire fee
Plain room, however, can be decorated how you want
Contains 1 projector which can be hired for use with a slideshow/movie
No windows (Ideal for bachelor/bachelorette parties)
Can be combined with Man Cave to increase size and capacity

Our most private area for your 21st’s, bachelor and bachelorette parties or any kind of celebration. A completely blank slate which can be decorated however you would like. This room comes with a large projector and access to play your own music all night long. Completely customisable to suit all your needs!


Beer Garden (enclosed and inside venue)

Max capacity is 100pax
$250 Hire Fee
Area is open within the main beach bar area. The area is sectioned off with barricades.
Roof slates can be opened up when weather permits
Limitations:

As it is an open area within the beach bar, no speeches would be permitted. The TV in the area can either show sport or surfing and can be used for slideshows/videos. The music in the area is limited to that of what is playing in the beach bar.

Ideal for your casual parties with an out-doorsy feel. While this option might not be as private, it’s definitely lots of fun! Keeping that great pub vibe, but still having an area for your group to stick together. Great for summertime events with an opening roof-top for cocktails on warm Aussie nights.


Bikini Bar (enclosed and inside venue)

Max Capacity 90pax
$200 Hire Fee
Suited for smaller and more intimate functions. Sit down low tables available.
No room hire fee.
Private bartender hire available is $50 per hour with a minimum of 4 hours

Suited for smaller and more intimate functions in the quiet corner of our main bar. Enough standing room for a larger crowd of 90, or the option for a sit-down dinner or lunch for 50 people. The area comes with a pool table and arcade games that the little ones will go crazy for! Plus, with the option of your own personal bartender for the night, what more could you want?


FUNCTION FARE

Northshore chefs prepare all function food in our own kitchen, ensuring oven fresh food at all times. Our function platter menu offers a wide variety of options.
Please ask our function coordinator for a current platter menu.


BEVERAGE PACKAGES

Select from one of our great value drinks packages or beverages on consumption.

BEVERAGES ON CONSUMPTION
A bar tab can be set up at the beginning of your function with a
specified limit. Your tab can be revised as your function
progresses and increased if need be.

CASH BAR
With a fully stocked bar and beers on tap, your guests will be
able to select from a long list of drinks, which are available for
purchase throughout your function.

PACKAGES
Our beverage packages have been designed for those who wish
to have a more controlled offering outside of a bar tab. These
packages are available for groups of 20 or more and can be
customised to include both basic and premium products. Prices
listed are per person and all guests in attendance must be
provided for.

STANDARD BEVERAGE PACKAGE
Selection of beers, house red, white and
sparkling, juices and soft drinks

Prices start from:
2 hours . . . $40 pp
3 hours . . . .$55 pp
4 hours . . . $65 pp

Add house spirits to your package:
First hour . . . $15 pp
Every hour thereafter . . . $10pp

ENTERTAINMENT,  AV, DECORATIONS

The Northshore offers an outstanding level of live entertainment for you and your guests to enjoy. You can visit www.thenorthshoretavern.com.au/events for details on upcoming acts.

The Northshore uses the Nightlife Music system offering the largest encoded library of music anywhere in the world.

Upon arrangement with the venue, the in-house PA system can be utilised to provide your own music in the form of an iPod, DJ or small acoustic band.

We can accommodate slideshows and movies (sound subject to arrangement with the venue), throughout the venue.

Speak to our function coordinator about decorations, balloons, and presentation equipment.


The Fine Print

  • Functions at The Northshore require a minimum of 30 people for our beverage package prices to apply.
  • Our beverage package is for a two hour period, an additional cost of $15 per person applies for each hour thereafter.
  • A $15 per person non-refundable deposit is required to secure a beverage package booking.
  • Full prepayment on total cost is required seven days prior to the event.
  • Dietary requirements must be advised at least seven days prior to booking date.
  • Cancellation policy: final confirmed numbers are required at the time of payment. Any increase in guest numbers is subject to availability.
  • The Northshore will not provide a refund for “no shows” on the day of your event.
  • AV equipment is available however some AV equipment comes at an additional cost. This cost cannot be used towards minimum spend. Please speak to our functions team about your AV requirements.
  • Other terms and conditions apply and will be provided with your quote.
